Courts & Referrals

California Safe Driver administers National Safety Council Defensive Driving Courses used by California courts, probation departments and law enforcement agencies for sentencing and diversion in traffic infractions and criminal driving cases.

These California court recognized programs address California traffic laws, violations, consequences, unsafe driving behaviors and personal accountability through structured education focused on risk awareness and responsible decision making.

All instructors have law enforcement experience and are trained and certified by the National Safety Council. They deliver professional, consistent instruction aligned with court and probation expectations.

Our priorities are student success, reduced recidivism and safer roadways.

Certificate of Completion

Alive at 25® and ADoD students will be mailed their certificate of completion after completing their course. Allow a minimum of two weeks time between the class and the court date to receive the certificate.

Students enrolling in the DDC-4 or TDIC are responsible for printing their certificate at the end of their course and presenting it to the court by the due date.

We understand many commercial drivers spend significant time on the road. For added convenience, students may request that certificates be printed and mailed for an additional shipping and handling fee.

Program completion documentation is provided through uniquely numbered course certificates of completion.

Certificates are printed on secure paper. Any copies will display the word 'VOID.'
